About Traveling with ViZion

Welcome!

Please let me share what “Traveling with ViZion” means.

ViZion comes from Victory in Zion.  Both have significance to my name. For Zion, "zai" sounds like the first syllable in my first name while "yon" sounds like the last syllable in my last name.   Victoria, on the other hand, is a spiritual name given to me in a prophetic prayer by an Australian pastor during a camp.  Now, ViZion also sounds like "vision," a word which also has very special meanings we all know.

Then, it is an invitation from me to you to travel with me through my travel blogs.  I am writing the blog posts with you in mind.  It is my desire to share with you the places I go to or want to go to.  I know that when we plan to travel, we want to get ideas first from the experiences of others.  Even if we don't go, it remains great to read, learn, and experience vicariously through others.

It is also an invitation to really travel and enjoy what God has given to us.  Life is short and we should not wait until we retire to travel and enjoy life, especially with our loved ones.  Traveling is one way to bond with them.  It is also one way to bond with God, the creator of all these things around us.  Although we may say that many now are man-made, it is still God who has given us the wisdom to even conceive those things we have built or invented.

Next, it is a suggestion to travel with a vision or purpose to the places we go to.  A vision or purpose in traveling helps us to plan well and make sure that every moment and expense spent will be compensated.  I know that sometimes some expectations will not be met no matter how much we tried to plan our travel, but if we are able to do the most important reason for our traveling and if we have learned something from the trip, then it would still be worth spending time, effort, and money.

Hence, my last reason is to invite you to travel with victory.  For me, my victory is when I offer prayers on site for the people and places I go to.  For me, prayers are not just conversations with God, or petitions made to Him on behalf of others.  They are covenants between me and my God, covenants which I believe God will honor and fulfill and help me to do the same.
